HISTORY

FOR MORE THAN SEVENTY YEARS AT THE SERVICE OF OUR CUSTOMERS TO PROVIDE THE BEST FASTENING SOLUTIONS

The first metal wire and nail processing activities for the construction of fruit crates and agricultural uses can be postponed to the first half of the 1900s.

In 1963, the company, headed by Mario Ghezzi and Silvio Mendini, started a specific production line for the construction of nails and wire, the growing demand for which was due to fruit crate producers. In the sixties, the strong agricultural sector expansion in the Val di Non and throughout Trentino gave the impetus to the economic growth of various related sectors, including the production of nails and wire.

In the seventies the company began to diversify the type of nails produced, both in terms of materials and dimensions: nails for carpentry and for automated nailing lines, helical and bias cut nails, ringed nails with improved adherence for pallet production.

1984 marked a turning point in the history of the company which transferred to the new artisan center in Tuenno, replacing the old machinery with new, highly efficient machinery, thus allowing for a significant increase in productivity and product quality levels.

The constant company evolution was accompanied by the passage to new generations; in fact, in 1980 Ezio Ghezzi, the founder’s son, joined the company, and in early 1984 so did Lina Leita, wife Ezio Ghezzi’s wife.

In the nineties, the company expanded further on with the addition of Ezio and Lina's children, who currently are a fundamental and central role in company management.

In 2007 Trafileria Punteria Ghezzi acquired the "Ex Lange" plant in Mollaro with the aim of expanding its product range. In 2020 the third modern plant was inaugurated in Storo, also in the province of Trento.

In 2022, it was time to expand internationally with "Ghezzi Chiodi KFT", a Hungarian branch based in Törökszentmiklós.
